Divinus certe fuit, necnon summa virtute praeditus; at videbimus, ut saltem credo, alterum dominum a patre Deo missum.

Insuper fateor me valde dissentire ab nonnullis Dei legibus. Noli vero credere me omnino repudiare praecepta mandataque Dei sapientissimi.

Nequeo responsum certum vobis lectoribus praebere. Nihilominus vos exhortor ne iudicia ecclesiae sine haesitatione dubiove sequamini. Sitis fideles, sic enim praemia aeterna merentur. Cavetote vero ne corpora cruciemini vestra castitate, ieiuniis, regulisve monachorum. Modus tenendus est omnibus in rebus, et praesertim in religione: cogitate semper, ne ab insipientibus fallamini.

  1. Why do you write pig Latin? Does it help you to be better person? Thanks in advance.

    1. Actually, that is not «pig Latin», but just «Latin»—and quite good, indeed.

    2. Gratias tibi ago.

    4. Irascor quidem! Puer ille non audet nomen suum proferre, sed nihilominus me obiurgare conatur. Quis non menda calami facit? Etiam bonus Homerus dormitat.

  2. Yes, I am a troll but you too! No country speaks really Latin today.

    1. Puer nequissime, nec legere nec scribere scis. Anglice male loqueris, attamen parvi linguam pulcherrimam latinam aestimas.

  3. And her Latin is full of errors (for instance: Sumne igitur Catholica 'vera', aut pagana induta pelle fidelis (ut ita dicam)?-> sumne.. an...?). If you say (and REALLY mean it) that hers is good Latin, you haven't read good Latin at all, boy.

    2. Obviously you don't have a clue of what you are talking about. I've studying latin for years and reading all kind of latin, from better to worse, written on the internet and, God, I wish I could write half as good as she does being her age!. Besides, you're forgetting the most obviously thing -at least for us- about her and those who write latin nowadays in the internet: we write as a way to improve our latin skills, mostly reading, of course, since the language is no longer spoken. To make mistakes is normal learning a language, and no one should apologize for little mistakes as the one you point out. That girl, being younger that most of people who reads her and who tries to improve his latin, as I do, is one of the best writers in latin from our days that I've ever met. I can't imagine how many things she will achieve in the future, in 10 years of more. One thing I know for sure, that she'll keep on writing regardless of the fussy grammarnazis as you

    4. lol If you want to read Latin and really love Latin, take this, for example: https://www.amazon.com/Lingua-Latina-Illustrata-Pars-Familia/dp/1585104205 or http://catalog.perseus.org/?f%5Bwork_lang%5D%5B%5D=lat Good luck with your studies.

    5. Ego quoque hunc librum legi. Fortasse me exprobras, quia male dixi Academiae Vivarium Novum.

    6. Vivarium Novum is the only place where one can learn Latin, although they don't count you as a human worthy of respect.

    7. Lol I wouldn't say that it is "the only place where you can learn Latin", but I think it's quite good. What do you mean that they don't treat you as a human worthy of respect? I met some students from there and they were indeed a bit douchy, but I had the chance to chat with prof. Miraglia once and he was super nice.

Btw I don't see anything wrong with it if she writes to practice her writing skills.

    8. They don't allow you to go there with them, unless you are a young boy or if you are a girl, you must pay, like I had to do... :(

    9. I'm getting quite sick of your overgeneralisations. I criticise the AVN, but I also have friends there; I realise that their system is flawed, but I also respect them for what they do. I am also annoyed that you criticise my Latin, but that you write in English, and that you continue posting under an 'Anonymous' tag.

I'm happy to be critiqued, but I must draw the line somewhere. What about we have a friendly contest? You can pick the theme, and we'll both write on it, and then the online Latin-speaking community can cast their votes.

    10. But the fact that they make you pay doesn't mean that they don't treat you like a human worthy of respect. By reading your words I'd rather think that they treat their guests and clients badly. Do they?

      Delete
    11. Man, they make pay only us female students! That's not HUMANITY.

To the OP. Yes, but I'd rather write Esperanto, as invented as your Latin. And remember that I am just a troll. ;)

    12. What you say is not correct, as far as I know. During summer there are courses where people of both sexes are allowed and have to pay, while during winter it is a single-sex school.

Btw why did you want to pay and whine so much about getting into a school which only allows a language whose live usage you despise so much?
